Two weeks after the start, the Central Matura 2024 will enter its final on Thursday. However, things are only getting serious for a small part of the approximately 41,300 secondary school students: only about 2,300 young people write their exams in Latin. According to the Ministry of Education, only 22 notebooks in Ancient Greek have been ordered.
Students with a “Not Satisfactory” grade on their written Matura, who still have a five point score after taking the annual grade into account, can correct this in the compensatory exam on June 3 or 4.
Oral Matura from June
Then things get serious again for all high school graduates with the oral high school diploma, which takes place on a staggered basis depending on the school. Unlike most exams, the questions are not centrally posed, but drawn up by the teacher in question. The annual figure is also taken into account. The first dates for the oral final exams are scheduled for early June.
The ‘major’ subjects of mathematics, English and German, which are compulsory for everyone, have already been tested in the past two weeks. However, pre-scientific work is threatened with an impending end “thanks to” artificial intelligence.
