Attentive residents alerted the police in Vienna-Favoriten on Thursday after a woman (35) and her accomplice (42) stole an e-scooter from a basement room. When the suspects tried to escape, the residents of the house managed to hold them until police arrived.
When emergency services arrived around 5:30 p.m., they were able to arrest the suspects. During a further search, a stolen make-up bag and burglary tools were also recovered.
The investigations are in full swing
Further investigation also revealed that the 35-year-old was a wanted serial thief. In total, she would be responsible for fifty other thefts or burglaries. Further investigation into the 35-year-old and her accomplice is ongoing.
