At least 147 journalists and media workers have been killed during seven months of offensive in Gaza

At least 147 journalists, cameramen and workers of the media, many of whom have been freelance murdered In just over seven months of offensive on the Gaza Stripaccording to the list released today by the Gaza government.

“These heroes were murdered by the Israeli occupation army in an attempt to cover up the Palestinian story and hide the truth. But the occupation failed to break the will of our great people,” the Palestinian media agency said in a statement on Friday.

The Council to Protect Journalists (CPJ), based in New York, has in turn confirmed the deaths of at least 105 journalists and media workers – including 100 Palestinians, two Israelis and three Lebanese – in a war that has already killed more than 100 people. 35,000 dead in Gaza.

In addition, CPJ has assured that there are at least four journalists whose whereabouts are unknown, 16 have been injured and 25 have been arrested; and has denounced the continued suffering of “attacks, threats, cyberattacks, censorship and murders of family members.”
