A 33-year-old motorist drank something that exceeded his thirst on Friday evening. While drunk and driving from Götzis towards Feldkirch (Vorarlberg) around 10:30 p.m., he lost control of his vehicle and ended up in a ditch.
Spectacular scenes occurred on Friday evening in the Lastenstrasse during the Kummenberg breakthrough. When the alcoholic driver left the road, he crashed into a traffic sign without braking. He then came to a stop in a ditch.
After the involuntary excursion into the countryside, the 33-year-old was taken to the state hospital in Hohenems to be checked for any injuries. The heavily damaged vehicle was recovered by ÖAMTC employees.
There is a lot to do for the fire brigade
The Koblach fire brigade responded with two vehicles and twelve men. The Florianijüngers controlled traffic at the scene of the accident, cleaned the street, helped recover the car and took care of the demolished traffic sign.
