“I was almost in tears because an absolute childhood dream came true for him,” Linda Lawal remembers when her brother Tobias was called up to the ÖFB for the first time in November 2023. Seven months later he is back on the list as team boss Ralf Rangnick presented the ÖFB squad today. The European Championship should be the temporary crowning moment for the goalkeeper, who was named LASK’s number one about a year ago and has since not only shone in the Europa League against Liverpool.
