Drugs and Weapons – Six arrests in West Styria

Police officers of the supplementary group of VeVerberg in Styria clarified an extensive drug trafficking in Ligist (Voitsberg District) after months of investigation. Six men were arrested. In addition to a few kilograms of marijuana, police officers also provided illegal firearms, forbidden weapons and Nazi devotionals.

For more than a year, the addictive group of the district police commanded the National Group of Daders. A touch of lively drug trafficking near a gas station brought the investigation into running. Intensive monitoring measures for several months the police eventually led to a 44-year-old West Styrian. He is suspected of producing at least nine kilograms of cannabis herb at home and, together with a 26-year-old accomplice, sold profitably. In total, more than 50 suspects were investigated.

Additional investigations have led to other suspects who were clearly involved in the sale of medicines. Including a 32-year-old, who also sold cocaine and amphetamine with other accomplices in addition to marijuana. A 27-year-old employee of the gas station is also suspected that they have worked on drug trafficking and therefore also generated money in your own pocket. It is also said that he has darkened fuel and resold profitably. A 58-year-old also investigated police officers. It is said that it has produced and partially resold about twelve kilograms of marijuana for several years. All five men are Austrians and come from the Voitsberg district.

Because of this suspicion, police officers have arrested the men, some of whom are relevant to drug -related offenses, between October 2024 and February 2025 at the order of the public prosecutor of Graz. During the following house searches, police officers provided nine kilograms of marijuana and small amounts of cocaine. One of the men was also owned by national socialist entries.

In two of the suspects, researchers found illegal pistols, revolvers, long weapons and generally prohibited weapons. This find eventually led to the search for a 71-year-old from the Vevenberg district. In April 2025, police officers insured a hidden weapon camp with a total of 87 long weapons, 51 fist Fir -weapons, four forbidden weapons and several thousand ammunition. The 71-year-old had collected the weapons for years, partially obsessed and resold them illegally. He was also arrested by the police and admitted to the judiciary.

All six suspects are mainly familiar with the accusations withdrawn and were admitted to the judiciary after their arrest. They would have reached a total of around 150,000 euros due to the sale of illegal drugs. Two of the men are still in custody to their negotiations. About 50 buyers or buyers of drugs or weapons were also investigated and shown.
