For a good cause, the mane of the Moosburg wolf Lass was cut off during a tandem jump. With this action he even set a world record.
22-year-old Wolf Lass from Moosburg grew his hair for five years, but after that it went quite quickly. The flight with paraglider pilot Aaron Durogati from the mountain station of the Hochmuth cable car in Tyrol lasted just eight minutes.
“The flight was exciting and short, but I really enjoyed it,” says Lass. “Before the flight, the hair was tied into six braids, which Aaron and I took turns cutting with clippers.” The campaign was not about the spectacle, but about a good cause.
“The Hair Fairy Association uses hair donations to make real hair wigs for children who have lost their hair due to illness or accidents,” Lass explains. “Claudia Attar from the club was there and I presented the hair donation.”
In addition to himself and the pilots, there were also family, girlfriend, friends, a camera team from Baden-Württemberg – Lass is a film student in Stuttgart, a cameraman from Bolzano, a photographer on site.
Wig fundraiser
Fitting, because the campaign also set a world record. “This will be officially recognized by the Austrian Record Institute in the coming days,” Lass proudly emphasizes.
As part of the jump, the 22-year-old launched a fundraising appeal with the aim of raising €5,000 to make ten wigs: 100 percent will go to “Hair Fairy”. gofund.me/8ef2aaa8
