Horribly brutal juvenile crime: Scenes like those at Vienna’s infamous Reumannplatz took place in Linz in mid-April and have now been cleared up. A 14 and a 15 year old from Vienna robbed three local teenagers. The duo mainly targeted a 14-year-old, whom they tortured.
The robbery had already taken place in Linz on April 16, 2024, shortly before midnight, and has now been clarified through intensive investigation by detectives from Linz in collaboration with colleagues in Vienna. Three young people, a 14-year-old from the Braunau district, a 16-year-old Hungarian from Steyr and a 16-year-old from the Urfahr-Raum district, were at the train station in Linz around 4 a.m. Two young people then approached them and offered to smoke a joint together.
Peed on victim
They then headed together towards Wienerstrasse 2b. There, the two unknown youths suddenly demanded that the three acquaintances from the station empty their pockets and threatened to beat them. They then pushed the youths into a corner there and even urinated on the 14-year-old.
Pants pulled down
After some time they had to take the bus with the perpetrators to Landwiedstrasse in Linz. In a park they repeatedly hit the 14-year-old, pulled down his pants and threatened him. They stole a jacket, shoes and AirPods from him. The three young people eventually managed to escape and called the police, where they were immediately questioned.
The known perpetrator also betrayed his accomplice
Through intensive investigations it was possible to track down and arrest one of the young people, a 14-year-old Serb from Vienna. During interrogation, he made a full confession and also named his accomplice: a 15-year-old from Vienna. An arrest warrant for him was also obtained and executed by the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office. He confessed – both were taken to prison.
