A young trio was tried in St. Pölten for reactivity and dangerous threats: four children were stoned and threatened with a knife.
Recently, shocking scenes on the German holiday island of Sylt caused heated emotions and far-reaching consequences: National Socialist slogans, including the Hitler salute, caused a furore. Even Gigi D’Agostino’s apolitical dance song “L’amour toujours” came under fire.
The number of incidents is increasing
In Lower Austria, too, the judiciary is currently faced with the challenge of immediately nipping National Socialist trends in the bud. Only on Tuesday did two teenagers and a young adult (16, 17 and 22 years old) have to appear in court in St. Pölten for reactivity.
What could be classified from the defense’s point of view as an administrative violation and “youthful stupidity” ended for one of the three defendants with a six-month suspended sentence, including anti-violence training. Because a trip to the Traisen got completely out of hand on February 16.
Over a few beers, four children caught the trio’s attention: the boys aged ten to twelve, three of whom had a migrant background, felt the concentrated resentment of the teenagers. After wild insults, stones were thrown at the children. An argument broke out. This was followed by the Hitler salute, accompanied by a Nazi propaganda song. Suddenly the second defendant pulled out a knife: “Sneak away, otherwise I will stab you,” he allegedly shouted at them.
Imprisonment and community service
“They got the little ones,” the defense tried to soothe. Acquittal for the first defendant, the third defendant must perform 100 hours of community service. The suspended sentence for the second defendant is already legally binding.
