A father experienced terrible worries for four hours on Wednesday afternoon in Vienna: his eight-year-old daughter had sneaked out of the apartment in Favoriten and quickly boarded the tram – in Döbling the adventure was over and the little one was safely handed over to her relieved father.
In the late afternoon, the eight-year-old sneaked out of the apartment in Favoriten unnoticed and disappeared. Her concerned father immediately reported the incident and a major search was launched.
Meanwhile, the Turkish girl was having fun in a park. When the little adventurer wanted to take the tram back home, she lost her track.
About 40 minutes by tram
The girl got into the D car and drove through the city towards Nussdorf. After about 40 minutes the girl got off the tram again. At that time, emergency services had already been searching for the child under high pressure for four hours. In addition to neighborhood troops, the emergency service and the police dog unit, a police helicopter was also in action.
Police officers eventually discovered the girl at a tram stop on Heiligenstädter Straße. Moments later, the relieved father was able to hug his daughter again.
