As reported, 99 German students had to be taken off the mountain in Kleinwalsertal, but they decided to continue their class trip as planned.
The 99 students and the eight teachers will probably remember this outing for a long time. As reported, the group had to be rescued by helicopter by the mountain rescue team after they got into trouble on a hiking trail on the Heuberggrat in Kleinwalsertal and panic broke out among the students.
The rescue helicopter had to fly out a total of 33 times to get the children off the mountain.
Despite psychological help
Although some students sought psychological help after the incident, those responsible may not have considered ending the schoolland week and an early return to Germany as necessary.
Expensive aftermath?
Because, as the Maxdorf high school says, the school trip ends as originally planned on Friday. Understandably, the range of activities for the kids has been kept “low-threshold” after the horror trip. However, the case has an aftermath.
It is still unclear whether the school will have to pay for the rescue operation in Kleinwalsertal – and if so, how much. In addition, the teachers involved may have to deal with legal consequences.
