After the fair, fists flew! A 19-year-old was seriously assaulted by a gang of young people in Liesing on Thursday. The thrashing crowd is being searched for and the victim ended up in hospital with head injuries.
Politicians obviously still have a lot to do in the fight against growing youth crime. So on Thursday evening a vicious beating took place against two young Viennese people in the vicinity of the Maurer Hauptplatz in Liesing – a fair is currently taking place here. After the stalls and attractions were already closed, the duo got into a heated argument with a number of unknown young people.
A 19-year-old was severely beaten and kicked and left seriously injured on the ground. Then the gang of heels paid. Police and emergency services arrived only a short time later, but by then the attackers had already disappeared under the cover of night. After initial treatment, the victim was taken to hospital with minor head injuries.
At least five perpetrators
The search for the thrashing mob continues. According to witnesses, there are at least five boys with a southern skin color, estimated to be between 14 and 18 years old.
