Afghan in prison – car and window destroyed: vandals arrested

A vandal left a trail of destruction in Innsbruck on Saturday evening. After the Afghan suspect broke open the coin register on a newspaper rack, he also allegedly damaged a car and a glass facade. The 25-year-old was arrested.

Shortly before 8 p.m., the suspected vandal was causing mischief in the Innsbruck Sillhöfe area. First, the Afghan allegedly forcibly opened the coin register on a newspaper rack.

Mirror and glass front damaged
The 25-year-old is also suspected of destroying the wing mirror of a parked car with his foot and throwing stones at the glass facade of a lodging building, causing damage, the police reported on Sunday.

Suspect in jail
According to the researchers, damage amounting to 15,000 to 20,000 euros was caused. The suspect was tracked down and arrested by the police. He was taken to prison.
