After crashing his car into a lantern and poster stand in Innsbruck on Sunday evening, a 19-year-old local man may have lost hope. He fled the scene of the accident along with his passenger. Moments later he was caught.
The man was standing on the roundabout on Griesauweg. There, as the police suspect, he may have skidded over the green part of the roundabout with his car due to excessive speed and the soaked road. He crashed into a lantern and a poster stand.
His vehicle, the green zone and belongings were significantly damaged. The 19-year-old and his passenger picked up the car parts and poster stand and put them in the car. Then they fled.

“The heavily damaged car was stopped by a police patrol,” police said. The driver and his passenger stated that they were not injured in the accident. Stupid for the driver: In addition to the collision, he was also unable to produce a driver’s license.
