Barrier after falling rocks – Mure road buried, woman in hospital

The Aggsteiner Straße (B33) in the Aggsbach-Dorf area in the Melk district (Lower Austria) is closed after a mudslide. A cyclist was reportedly injured when the rocks fell.

The B33 has been closed since Monday afternoon due to a rock fall. According to initial information, a large amount of stone slid onto the road around 12:30 p.m. According to initial information, a cyclist was injured to an unspecified degree and was taken to a hospital.

The exact extent of the damage has yet to be determined, but clean-up work is expected to take several days, if not weeks.
