The midfielder lifted the FA Cup in 2017, but his appearances have decreased under Mikel Arteta. This season he has played just six games in all competitions.
Soares released Elneny after four years in north London. Like Elneny, the 32-year-old right-back struggled for minutes last season after playing in just six games. He was due out in January.
