The son of a well-known Wörthersee family has not had an easy time in recent months: the rich father died in the winter and his mother was seriously ill. As reported, the 41-year-old shrugged off a dispute. So now he was in court.
“I am very sorry for what happened,” said the suspect, who is officially unemployed and probably lives off the family fortune. “But the past few months have been very challenging.”
One April day, shortly before Easter, there was a fight in the villa on Lake Wörthersee. The son – drunk and seemingly desperate from the blows of fate – lost control and threw a champagne glass at the mother during physical attacks.
Sentenced to a fine
“But she was not hit,” claimed defender Georg Schuchlenz. From a purely legal point of view, this does not play a major role for judge Dietmar Wasserteurer: the famous son is convicted of assault, coercion and threats – a fine of 2240 euros. He assumes that the verdict is final. “All the best,” Rat Wasserteurer wished him.
