On Wednesday around 12.43 pm, a 77-year-old motorcyclist from Austria lost control of his motorcycle in a right bend on the Defereggenstrasse near St. Jakob in Defereggen and fell.
No foul play found
The motorcycle went over the side of the road and ended up in the ditch. After receiving first aid, the seriously injured motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to the Lienz district hospital. There was significant damage to the motorcycle. No foul play could be determined.
Fall into the adjacent field
Almost at the same time, a motorcycle accident occurred in Obsteig in the Imst district: after a bend, a 37-year-old motorcyclist from Austria went over the edge of the road and fell into the adjacent field. The driver suffered an unspecified degree of leg injury and was taken by ambulance to Innsbruck University Hospital after first aid.
