A Kosovan woman presented a false driver’s license during a vehicle check in Fließ (Tyrol) to avoid deportation. There was an active warrant for her arrest. Her companion also had a forged document with him.
On Tuesday around 4 p.m., a police vehicle check in the municipality of Fließ revealed that a 42-year-old woman from Kosovo used a fake driver’s license under a different name to avoid possible deportation to Kosovo.
Outstanding arrest warrant
She was arrested on the evening of the same day and taken to Völs prison on an outstanding arrest warrant. Her 44-year-old companion from Egypt was also temporarily arrested with a forged document and released after consultation with the Innsbruck Public Prosecutor’s Office on charges of forgery.
During a search of the luggage, a small amount of cannabis herb was found.
