Late Wednesday evening, a car collided with a bus in Günselsdorf in the Baden district of Lower Austria. Three people were injured.
At around 8:40 p.m., a 50-year-old Viennese woman was driving her car on the B17 near Günselsdorf when the accident occurred. For unknown reasons, the woman crossed into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a bus.
Driver takes helicopter to hospital
The 50-year-old became trapped in the car and was seriously injured. She had to be flown to UKH Vienna-Meidling by emergency medical helicopter.
Bus driver and passenger injured
The passenger of the seriously injured passenger (84) was also injured in the collision, as was the 48-year-old bus driver from the Neunkirchen district.
Fortunately, there were no passengers on the bus other than the driver. The passenger in the car and the bus driver were injured and taken to the Baden State Hospital. The B17 was closed for more than two hours.
