Large-scale operation after a collision between two cars at an intersection near Sprögnitz in Lower Austria: the driver of one of the vehicles, who according to DOKU-NÖ was the mother of three children in the car, first had to be freed with rescue scissors, and the rescue helicopter team took over immediately afterwards.
The vehicles collided in the city in the Zwettl district/Lower Austria with such force that one car ended up on its roof. A total of five passengers, including three children and their 41-year-old mother, received emergency treatment with injuries of an undetermined nature.

The cars were badly damaged and only hydraulic equipment could free the driver of the car with the children on board. Christophorus C2 then flew the mother to Krems University Hospital.
The children are said to be between six and twelve years old and, like the 20-year-old driver of the other vehicle, were taken to Zwettl Hospital with minor injuries.
