Because a man was allegedly threatened with a weapon, an entire apartment building in Baden was cordoned off. The negative climax of a years-long neighborhood conflict even brought the special unit Cobra into action.
Heavily armed police dominated parts of Baden on Sunday evening. An entire apartment building was cordoned off and the special Cobra unit was even on site. The wildest stories soon started doing the rounds in the spa.
But in the end it was a neighborhood dispute that kept the emergency services on their toes. The police received an emergency call around 5:30 p.m. A man (35) took out his gun and threatened his opponent (59). The two Austrians who live in the same apartment building have known each other for years – and have been arguing with each other for just as long. Now the conflict reached its peak.
Accused on the phone
Because the 35-year-old was not home when police arrived, alarm bells were ringing about the possibility of being armed. Traffic was diverted and cars were randomly checked. A little later the signal was given: the suspect could be reached by telephone and was extremely cooperative. No weapon was found on him. It was reported that he was at large due to dangerous threats and further investigations are underway.
