A tragic traffic accident occurred in Carinthia in the Feldkirchen district on Monday afternoon. A 15-year-old moped driver was killed.
The student was driving on Steuerberger Straße towards Wabl on Monday around 4:50 p.m. when, for an unknown reason, his moped swerved too far to the left in a slightly inclined left bend in Steuerberg. The 15-year-old collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle, driven by a 51-year-old from Klagenfurt.
“The motorist stated that he tried to avoid or slow down his vehicle, but was unable to do so,” police said.

The boy from the Feldkirchen district suffered such serious injuries in the head-on collision that he died at the scene of the accident despite immediate emergency treatment.
“A breath test on the driver of the car was negative,” said a police officer.
