A local man (51) had to be admitted to the trauma room of the Innsbruck clinic on Wednesday. Reason for this: The cyclist hit the tractor of a local man (32) without braking and fell.
The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. The 32-year-old was driving his tractor west on the B171 in Telfs (Innsbruck-Land district) and mowing the side of the road. “The mowing activities were marked with signs,” the police said. Several cars drove behind the tractor.
Fell into an embankment
The 51-year-old also rode behind the vehicles on his racing bike. “After the cars overtook the slow-moving tractor, the cyclist drove into it without braking.”
The man then fell into a dike. The 51-year-old was seriously injured in the accident. The rescue took him to the trauma room of the clinic in Innsbruck.
