Volodymyr Zelensky arrives in Italy seeking more aid and financing, awaiting a loan or agreements on Russian funds frozen in the European Union and other places on the planet.
The leaders of the G7, the world’s seven richest democracies, will start a summit in southern Italy this Thursday with aid to Ukraine as the central topic and the presence of that country’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky.
The forum, which will be held this year in the Italian region of Apulia (southern), will officially start at 10:30 am local time with the arrival of the leaders and the family photo. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will welcome the presidents of Italy USA And France, Joe Biden and Emmanuel Macron; the Prime Ministers of Canada, United Kingdom And Japan, Justin Trudeau, Rishi Sunak and Fumio Kishida; and to the Chancellor German Olaf Scholz.
Also participating in the G7 will be the President of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyenand that of the European Council, Charles Michel.
The leaders will receive each other at 2 p.m Zelenskiywho arrives in Italy looking for more help and fundingwaiting for a loan or agreements on Russian funds frozen in the European Union and other places on the planet.
The day, which will include other events and bilateral meetings between the leaders, will conclude with a gala dinner hosted by Italian Head of State Sergio Mattarella.
