Serious traffic accident on Thursday evening in the Tyrolean Zillertal: a 21-year-old crashed his car into a family’s car near Stumm. There were five injured. There was no alcohol involved.
Shortly before 10 p.m., the young resident drove his car into the valley on the Zillertal national road. “He was alone in the car,” police said. Suddenly, for an unknown reason, he slipped and crossed into the oncoming lane.
Thrown off the road
A 32-year-old Austrian could no longer avoid the car. A collision occurred that threw the 21-year-old’s car off the road.
Two children were also injured
The young man, like the 32-year-old, his partner (34) and two children (8 and 4 years old) had to be taken to the hospital in Schwaz. “All those involved probably suffered only minor injuries,” the police emphasize. There was serious damage to both cars. The Zillertal national road was closed for about an hour. “The alcohol tests on both drivers were negative,” investigators said.
