Russian assets – Putin: “Sanctions will not go unpunished”

Date:

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Friday that the West’s seizure of Russian state assets was “theft” and would not go unpunished (see video above). Meanwhile, Finnish airspace was believed to have been violated by four Russian fighter jets.

At a meeting with Foreign Ministry officials, Putin said the West’s treatment of Moscow showed that “anyone” could be next and fall victim to a similar asset freeze.

We are currently witnessing how the European-transatlantic system is collapsing. The world has reached a point of no return in this regard. He mainly accuses the US of undermining global security by withdrawing from arms deals.

Putin calls for a global security system
He calls for the creation of a new global security system. This will be open to everyone, including NATO. It is “time” for a discussion on “a new system of bilateral and multilateral collective security guarantees in Eurasia”.

Airspace violated by four Russian planes?
According to the Finnish Border Guard, the country’s airspace was allegedly violated by four Russian military aircraft last Monday.

It was probably two bombers and two fighter jets. According to the Ministry of Defense, a territorial violation by Russian aircraft was last observed in August 2022. Unlike then, Finland is now a member of NATO.
