After receiving first aid at the crime scene, the victim was immediately taken to the Innsbruck clinic by the alarmed rescue services. However, the alleged perpetrator went into hiding. The police launched a massive manhunt. At around 5:30 am, the handcuffs finally clicked.

The two men would know each other, says Hansjörg Mayr of the Innsbruck prosecutor’s office of the “Krone”. The exact motive and background of the dispute are not yet known. “The suspect has since been taken into custody. An investigation is underway on suspicion of attempted murder,” Mayr said.

By the way: The alleged perpetrator claimed to be unable to remember anything. Apparently he also denies the course of events.
