A tragic accident happened on Monday in the Silvretta region of Vorarlberg. A 55-year-old man fell 80 meters and was fatally injured.
A 55-year-old man’s excursion ended tragically in the Silvretta neighborhood on Monday. His tour took the hiker from the Bieltal to the Radsattel and then to the “Piz R6”. Finally, the man made the descent – through a terrain without a path in the direction of Wiesbadener Hütte.
No proof of third party guilt
The hiker then slipped on a grass strip and fell between 70 and 80 meters through rocky terrain. The man suffered fatal injuries. There is no indication of debts to third parties. All help came too late for the victim, and he was eventually rescued by the police helicopter “Libelle”.
