Young Austrian-Korean woman angers religious fanatics. He sees himself as a satirist under the pseudonym Tesla Han. Radical Muslims threaten him with death for this. In the ‘Krone’ interview, the 30-year-old TikToker explains what he sees on social media.
Tesla Han, his stage name, actually wanted to put videos of his electric car on the internet. But then he became aware of videos of migrant groups in Germany behaving in an impossible way and commented on them.
“There was an immediate response from a target group that felt addressed, even though I did not specifically address them, which shows a lot,” explains the resident of Upper Austria with Korean roots during our meeting in Vienna-Floridsdorf.
Takeover fantasies
He is followed by tens of thousands on TikTok and YouTube. Islamists hate him. “They don’t even make a secret of their takeover fantasies. They communicate this very openly,” continues the 30-year-old academic. This would turn Muslims against the local population and the government. The goal is the caliphate.
He then often went live on TikTok and exchanged blows with Arab clans and well-known Islamists. This is a world of its own. Women are encouraged to wear a veil. The phrase is repeated again and again: Islam will win, with reference to the high birth rate of Muslims.
The Tesla fan with the dark glasses repeatedly emphasizes that he has nothing against Islam, but rather against its ‘sick’ interpretations. The choice of words is disturbing.
“It says: ‘I (….) your mother, your daughter, your family, your death.’ Children hear this from an early age.”
He once got carried away by imitating the ‘necrophilic fantasies’ of some users. “Then I also said things that were impious and affected people in Gaza,” he admits ruefully.
He is being wished to death online, just like the Mannheim police officer. “I simply reflected their behavior in my role as an artist. I will continue – despite the death threats!”
