It has now been five years since Patrick Riener embarked on the greatest adventure of his life. “Of course it was a risk to build such a facility,” admits the former construction manager. Riener made use of his experiences from his previous professional life and on his own initiative set up an adventure golf course with restaurant on a rented property in Gumpoldskirchen. Companies had budgeted 800,000 euros for the 18 holes alone. “I just did it myself.” Armed with an excavator and shovel, Riener conjured up an oasis of well-being, just the way he wanted it.
