Burgenland is considered a cyclist’s paradise – with hilly vineyards and beautiful nature full of life, especially around Lake Neusiedler. The region can be experienced perfectly from the saddle of a bicycle – a “Radkrone” test ride.
Austria is considered a mountain country, but the Alpine Republic can also do something different – especially in Burgenland. My journey of discovery begins in Mörbisch. In front of me is the 118 kilometer long Lake Neusiedler cycle path. The 630 Wh battery of my sporty e-fully, or a full-suspension mountain bike, is fully charged. Although this type of e-bike was developed for the mountains and for fast trail descents, they are popular with many Austrians because the damping ensures comfort and safety during normal cycling.
