Flown to hospital – harvest worker run over by a low loader in Tyrol

Fatal accident in a vegetable field in Volders in Tyrol! After harvest work, a 46-year-old was run over by a vehicle and injured. The man from North Macedonia had to be flown to the clinic in Innsbruck.

Several people were busy harvesting in a vegetable field in Volders on Friday afternoon. “After completing the work, a 25-year-old Turk reversed into the field with a low-loader and overlooked a 46-year-old North Macedonian who was standing with his back to the truck,” police said.

Injuries to the chest, abdomen and hips
The 46-year-old fell and was trapped under the vehicle. Colleagues were able to pull the injured man from under the car and set the rescue chain in motion. After the first treatment, the man was flown in the “C1” helicopter to the clinic in Innsbruck with injuries to his chest, abdomen and hip.
