In the Australian state of New South Wales, a father had to save his two-year-old daughter from an aggressive kangaroo that had attacked the child out of the blue while he was playing. Surveillance camera images show the shocking scenes (see video above).
The dangerous incident took place in a family’s garden last weekend. The two-year-old daughter was playing alone when several kangaroos suddenly approached. One of the tartars jumped at the girl and knocked her over. But the attack was not over yet. The wild animal circled its victim and kicked it again.
The girl’s father, having heard everything, immediately rushed over and threw an object at the kangaroo. This then took off. Since then, the father has been celebrated as a hero on social media.
Mother: “Luckily she was wearing thick clothes”
The girl suffered only minor injuries: bruises and scratches. “Luckily she was wearing thick clothes and her father was nearby,” the child’s mother told the Australian media with great relief. The family now reportedly wants to install a fence to prevent further attacks.
