Police said the 72-year-old’s 30-year-old passenger was seriously injured in the crash. According to the police, the person who caused the accident could not provide any information about what happened.

A few hours later, a driver drove his car off the road in St. Gilgen for unknown reasons on Sunday evening. The car got stuck in an embankment. The St. Gilgen Volunteer Fire Department responded, recovered the car and rescued the injured driver from a stream bed almost 100 feet away. The Red Cross took care of him.
