Fire brigade operation Sunday evening in Hall in Tirol: There was heavy smoke in a shop in the old town. Due to the initially unclear situation, the adjacent apartments were evacuated as a precaution. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Shortly before 8pm there was a smoldering fire in the Hall’s Old Town shop. According to police, a resident noticed the heavy smoke and immediately called emergency services.
Neighbors had to leave their homes
“Because the situation was initially completely unclear, the residents of the adjacent apartments were briefly evacuated by the police. “The fire brigade finally got the smoldering fire under control and was able to prevent further smoke development,” the police reported.
Power cable burned out
Initial investigations at the scene revealed that the fire was caused by burnt power cables and then spread to adjacent furniture and items for sale in the store.
More studies will follow. No one was injured. The extent of the material damage caused cannot yet be quantified.
