Two children were injured in an accident on Sunday, some seriously. In Gampern a boy was rammed by a car and the helicopter had to land in Vorderweißenbach because a girl had become unconscious in an incident in an amusement park.
The first incident took place in Gamtern, where a nine-year-old boy was hit and killed by a car. The child suffered head and upper body injuries and was taken to hospital in Vöcklabruck by the Red Cross. There is no danger to life.
Fall on your back
It is unclear what caused the accident at an amusement park in Vorderweißenbach in the afternoon. A 10-year-old from Bad Zell visited the park with her mother and went to a hay jumping tower shortly before 3 p.m. She climbed the wooden stairs to the jumping platform, from where she jumped onto the hay bed from a height of about 1.6 meters. She landed first on both legs and then fell on her back, where she lay unconscious for a short time.
Mother provided first aid
Her mother, who was nearby, immediately administered first aid and started the rescue chain. After receiving emergency medical care, the injured child was taken to the Linz Children’s Hospital by rescue helicopter.
