Green Day, Jane Fonda – Hollywood honors 36 new “stars” on the “Walk of Fame”

A beautiful moment for three dozen stars: Filmmakers such as Jane Fonda, Jessica Chastain, Colin Farrell, Emilio Estevez and John Carpenter are among the 36 chosen ones who will be honored with a star on the ‘Walk of Fame’ in Hollywood in 2025. Singer Prince, who died in 2016, will be celebrated posthumously next year.

Other musicians whose names are immortalized in the cement slabs of the famous sidewalk include country stars Keith Urban and George Strait, as well as bands such as Depeche Mode, The B-52s, Green Day and The Isley Brothers as well as television stars including Fran Drescher, Bill Nye and ‘South Park’ creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone will be honored. In the Sports Entertainment division, British soccer player David Beckham and American baseball player Orel Hershiser will be honored. The “Walk of Fame” with more than 2,700 stars has been honoring achievements in show business since 1960. The stretch of sidewalk on Hollywood Boulevard in which the star-shaped plaques will be embedded runs through downtown Hollywood. The new candidates have been selected from hundreds of prominent candidates. The dates for the unveiling of the plaques have not yet been announced.
