There is 280,000 people work in the industrial sector in Hego Eusal Herria. Precisely, 211,281 people work in industry in the Basque Autonomous Community, and Navarrese industry has 71,105 jobs.
All sectors suffered from the consequences of the 2008 economic crisis, which led to major job losses. Over the past ten years, industrial employment has recovered by 3.4% in the BAC and by 10.9% in Navarre.
These figures assume that one in five people work in the industry: Him 20% in the CAV and the 22.3% in Navarre. It is almost double the Spanish ratio, where 11.4% of employees work in the industrial sector.
