Massive media meeting in Schladming: The three superstars of the Ski Opening Schladming-Dachstein 2024 were introduced on Monday afternoon. Simply Red, Bryan Adams and Sting are expected to bring tens of thousands of visitors to Styria.
After Robbie Williams last year, three superstars are coming to the Ennstal ski opening this year (6 to 8 December). Bryan Adams, Sting and Simply Red go to Styria! The season opening of the four-mountain ski area of Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm will already be an absolute white-green concert highlight this year.
Via helicopter to the presentation
As befits real pop stars, the trio was flown in by helicopter yesterday afternoon for the presentation on the Schnepf’n Alm, with a beautiful view of the majestic Dachstein. “I’m looking forward to a great concert, Tafelspitz and Grüner Veltliner,” smiled Mick Hucwickel. By December at the latest, he will probably notice that a Styrian Sauvignon or Yellow Muskateller has long been among the top wines in the world.
The three men no longer have to prove to anyone that they have been among the world elite in the music business for decades. Together they have sold more than 300 million records, and have won Grammys and other awards. “I’m playing all the songs people know, plus a few new ones that I hope you’ll like too,” says Bryan Adams, previewing his Schladming performance. The Canadian’s only fear is the cold on stage, but a lead blanket that the tourist organization gave to the three musicians could help.

Sting also has all the evergreens with him. “That’s why I only play my hits, that’s what people want to hear. And the three of us have had one or two successful songs.” The three musicians are good friends and also want to go skiing in December. “I’m English, but I can ski well. However, I will drive slowly so that I can enjoy this beautiful area,” laughs Sting.
The guest appearance was once again made possible by the Styrian concert star Klaus Leutgeb: “It couldn’t be more distinctive than the fact that these three world stars came to the press conference together.”
Under the title “The Grand Festival 2024”, tens of thousands of visitors are again expected for the Ski Opening Schladming-Dachstein – last winter there were 25,000. The organizers are the Schladming-Dachstein tourist region and the international concert organizer Klaus Leutgeb.
