Numerous Floriani disciples from Kastengstatt, Kirchbichl and Wörgl had to carry out a more than difficult mission in the early morning hours on Tuesday. A fire broke out in a nightclub in Kirchbichl, which is located in the basement of an inn.

Respiratory protection team in the basement
“The head of operations immediately investigated the situation and sent the fire truck respiratory protection team to the basement to fight the fire due to the heavy smoke,” the Kirchbichl fire brigade said. A second team arrived a short time later.

Thanks to the quick intervention, an extraction opening could be created a short time later and ventilation could begin. The operation was over around 4 a.m.

Locally in the news as early as the end of 2023
It is still unclear what caused the fire. However, arson cannot be completely ruled out. Further investigations are underway.

In December last year, during a house search, the bar was turned upside down. The reason: three men were accused of financially exploiting women in the table dancing bar for months. There was also a suspicion of illegal prostitution and pimping. During the house search, a number of evidence, drugs and cash were seized. Eight people are said to be at large.
