A serious traffic accident occurred on the B25 in Lower Austria on Sunday morning. Two cars collided head-on. A total of six people were injured, some seriously.
The devastating collision between the two cars took place around 5:00 a.m. between Purgstall and Scheibbs. According to the police, the 36-year-old, who does not have a valid driver’s license, may have crossed into oncoming traffic on a bend and collided with the car driven by a 17-year-old driver.
A large contingent of emergency services rushed to the scene of the accident to rescue the injured. Fortunately, none of the people were trapped in the vehicles.
Two seriously injured
Two seriously injured people were taken in rescue helicopters and four other injured people were taken to hospital in an ambulance and paramedics, the Scheibbs Fire Department said.
Accident location closed
At the same time, the accident site was secured and fire protection was set up. The B25 was closed for three hours. It is still completely unclear why the two cars collided.
