At least 11 people have been killed in Russian attacks in southern and eastern Ukraine. An airstrike in the major city of Kharkiv killed at least one person and seriously injured eight others, including an eight-month-old baby. At least seven people were killed in an attack in Vilnyansk in the Zaporizhia region. Another 11 people, including three children, were seriously injured.
According to official figures, four people were killed in attacks on villages on the eastern front in the Donetsk region. In the village of Zarichne in the Donetsk region, “the Russians killed three people,” wrote Governor Vadym Filashkin in online services.
Ukraine’s prosecutor general later said another person “suffered fatal injuries” in the frontline village of New York. New York has been under repeated attacks since mid-June as part of Russian efforts to capture the city of Toretsk.
