The 23-year-old from Iraq allegedly grabbed a pocket knife and attacked his opponent with it. The 22-year-old sustained injuries to his upper arm during the attack.
Victim taken to hospital
“Police officers from the Keplergasse police station arrested the 23-year-old in the apartment and confiscated the knife,” police spokesman Markus Dittrich said on Monday. The victim received emergency medical care from the Vienna Professional Rescue Service and was then taken to a hospital.
The suspect denies the crime. By order of the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office, he was reported in general.
