Tragic traffic accident on Tuesday evening in South Tyrol: According to media reports, a motorcyclist from East Tyrol has died from serious injuries after a collision with a van.
The terrible accident took place in Niederdorf in the Pustertal in South Tyrol. According to the internet platform “stol.it” the motorcyclist – presumably an East Tyrolean (68) – collided with a van. He died shortly afterwards from his serious injuries.
Further information about the accident is not yet known.
Numerous emergency services on site
Several volunteer fire brigades, the White Cross, an emergency helicopter and the carabinieri were in action.
Apparently the water rescue service had also been alerted. Initially it was assumed that the motorcyclist had fallen into a nearby stream. This was ultimately not confirmed.
