Strange incident in the Thai capital Bangkok: first a Thai woman cheated on him, then an Austrian man panicked. His evening ended in a confrontation with the police.
A 46-year-old Austrian man – reportedly a tourist – probably didn’t just enjoy a drink or two at a bar on the busy Sukhumvit Road on Monday. According to his statements, he also repeatedly invited a lady over. After all, she had promised him that she would go with him to the hotel room afterwards.
Holidaymaker was scammed
The Austrian, who hoped to get a lot out of his supposed love interest, was generous and not only paid the large receipt of 355 euros. As the German-speaking Thai “Blitzkurier” learned, the expected love services of the 36-year-old also cost the Thai woman 50 euros.
When the woman felt she needed to speak to her brother, she got on a waiting motorcycle and fled with the money.
Austrian loses control
So disappointed by his defeat, the Austrian lost all control. He grabbed an empty beer bottle and threw it at a police car, smashing the window. In custody, the love-hungry man not only had to replace the window. His behavior cost him extra holiday pay.
