In June, two bodies were found in Lake Constance within 24 hours. After the identity of one man (a 79-year-old from Chur) was already clarified, it is now known who the second dead person is: an 83-year-old man, also from Chur.
The 83-year-old was found by three kayakers who were paddling on the shipping line between Hard (Vorarlberg) and Lindau (Bavaria). They called the emergency services. The dead man was rescued with the fire boat “Föhn”.
DNA comparison has now revealed that it concerns the 83-year-old Swiss who has been missing since May 2021. The man, like the second body found, comes from Chur.
No cheating
The autopsy results of the second man have been known for some time. Because the body was found on German soil, the German authorities ordered an investigation. A few days later it became clear that it was a 79-year-old who had been missing since November 2023. Negligence by third parties was ruled out.
