S-Link CEO Stefan Knittel is currently constantly confronted with opponents of the billion-dollar Salzburg railway project: he is not a politician and is still at the front. In an interview with the “Krone” he tells how he deals with tirades of abuse and how he wants to find a “workable compromise” with critics.
“Cafeare “: Mr Knittel, this is not the first time you have stood before emotionally charged people and defended the S-Link. How are you doing with that?
Stefan Knittel: It is a difficult situation. There are many proponents and some opponents. Unfortunately, it is always the opponents who shout the loudest. You try not to let it get too close, because it affects your own personal substance. But it is not easy.
