A fire in the East Tyrolean municipality of Dölsach on Sunday caused enormous damage. A tractor and a hay baler were completely destroyed.
While haying in a field in Dölsach, a 37-year-old farmer suddenly noticed smoke coming from the round baler. The 37-year-old immediately stopped the team and went to a nearby stream to get water.
Hay Favorite Burn
When the farmer returned, the tractor and baler were already on fire. The fire was started by a piece of hay lying under the tractor. The 37-year-old immediately alerted the emergency services.
The Dölsach volunteer fire brigade quickly brought the fire under control with respiratory protection. No one was injured.
