The fast food chain McDonald’s has withdrawn from Russia because of the war with Ukraine – not only the new chain “Vkusno i Totschka”, which took over the former branches with the big yellow “M”, is now feeling good business. A restaurant in Syktyvkar in northwestern Russia uses the brutal conflict for its marketing. There are “Kremlin fries”, some burgers are even named after Russian ICBMs and tanks. The move caused a stir on social media.
After several months, the Russian invasion war has already claimed tens of thousands of lives – a Russian fast food restaurant is trying to take advantage of the bloody battle. Z-Burger (the letter “Z” is used to indicate support for the war) named burgers after military equipment or other patriotic names. You can order a Grade MRLS rocket launcher (a burger with chicken cutlet, bacon, and cheddar cheese) or a T-34 tank (a burger with a 100 percent beef patty and avocado sauce).
Another dish is named after the Kinzhal rocket, which has been used several times in Ukraine, BBC reporter Francis Scarr reported on Twitter. The restaurant also announced that it has been in the hamburger business since February 24, 2022. That is the date when Russian troops invaded Ukraine.
